Traditional, pre-inked, and self-inking rubber stamps are quite common pieces of office stationary, and a great time-saver for a wide variety of repetitive tasks in the office. With the right rubber stamp you can quickly and easily print details such as dates, signatures, logos, addresses, etc onto all-types of stationary, mail, invoices, and cheques. Most of these can be made to any particular size and with text that is entirely specific to your requirements.
Here is general overview of the most popular types of rubber stamps -
Traditional - these are the basic types of stamps and come in a wide range of shapes and sizes and use a separate stamp or ink pad. Quality of the inking with these office tools is often inferior to what you can achieve with the more-expensive self inked and pre-inked rubber stamps. However, these traditional stamps do make it quite easy to alternate between different colors and types of ink.
Self-inking - these stamps come with a water-based ink built-in and offer a good quality impression, which is a lower quality then the pre-inked stamps, but still quite impressive for the economical price. After each impression, the stamps offer the convenience of automatically re-inking, making these highly efficient for those with lots of stationary items to stamp. Ink longevity is quite high, although it doesn't last as long as the more expensive pre-inked options available. You do however have the option of replacing the inking cartridge as and when they start to run out.
Pre-inked - these stamps often incorporate a die which is part of the actual stamp, meaning a separate ink pad isn't required. Pre-inked stamps feature an oil based ink which gives a top-quality, solid and crisp impression. A stamp auctions of this nature can last for several thousand impressions without any noticeable down-grade in the quality of its work. Although, these stamps aren't recommend for use on the more glossy types of surfaces as the ink is likely to smudge or smear. This rubber stamp is the most expensive of the three types mentioned.
And beyond the typical stamps which might be seen in a typical office, a pocket stamp, which often features 1 to 4 lines of text and comes in multiple colors, is perfect for someone who is frequently out of the office and always on-the-go. These miniature stamps are designed to be safe and conveniently sized to fit in a handbag, briefcase, or pocket.
